ENTRY: Parlay.

[The following was taken from the desk of NAMEKUJI TSUNADE. It is not, however, written in handwriting resembling her own, and is on a plain sheet of college-ruled binder paper. Though the writing seems to be practically aimless gibberish - a list of names branching off into small teams, as they are labeled, and then a small math equation below, perhaps pertaining to the same lists, but perhaps not - there is a short note at the bottom: "Yeah! Let's go! BAA-BAA -- We'll meet at Kaito? I'm not showing up early, no way~~~" The sender identifies his or herself as "NARUTO". The note is dated to have been written and sent on the third of December.]

JOURNAL ENTRY THREE:

I can't help but thinking that he'll never forgive me for this. I know it's entirely irrational - Naruto's a natural healer, he really is - but I can't help it. I just can't. ~~I haven't woken up with a hangover and stayed home drinking since I was in community college.~~

I just can't help it.

(The aspirin isn't helping. Big surprise there.)

Shizune -- I need you to watch over things for a while for me. And you can come over too, if you want. Coming over's fine with me. Actually, coming over's more than fine with me seeing that now I don't even know how I'm going to face him. Either of them. All of them. Christ I'm a terrible, horrible sadist. I can't believe myself. Just...a while. I'll be back before...the end of the week ~~hopefully~~.

It's sender is supposedly anonymous, but it seems to be a given piece of information that the intended reader will recognize the writer for who she or he might be. The paper inside is crisp and undated; the ink on it is a near elegant black.]

About what we talked before, I need a definite count of everyone you want to bring along on this crazy ride. I need you to be the one that organizes this, not Snake-Eyes and not Number Two. (I know they're bound to read this and even so; I need him to handle this, you two. It's vital that as the head of whatever we have going, he take responsibility for this as well as other things. You both keep your distance for a while; I'll speak to you both separately if need be.) Examine everything you do thoroughly and get back to me with a full list before Wednesday next week.

Oh. And get your math grade up.

[The following was taken from the desk of NAMEKUJI TSUNADE. It seems to have been inked swiftly with red ink and folded many times, but seems all around incoherent. The words 'Name??', 'Jiraiya', and 'Orochimaru??' are highlighted, but not connected in any specific way. It is undated.]

JOURNAL ENTRY ONE:

My escapades have finally come to somewhat of a conclusive halt - its all I can do to maintain composure ~~and not explode for excitement~~. We won't get their blessing, that much is more than ~~bloody~~ obvious, but they won't get in our way and that's all the assurance I need.

The hell I'm taking this sitting down.
